FITNESS
Aiming High Summer Arts Camp is a time for youth to spend time outdoors and indoors with experienced staff leading adventures that promote a healthy spirit, mind and body. The camp is six-week long performance arts based experience. Performance arts programs consist of the following:
Drumming – Djembe, Snare and Bass drums (boys 6 and over)
Choir – (Coed 6 and over)
Poetry – (Boys 14 and over) (Girls 6 and over)
Drill – (boys 6 and over) (girls 6 and over)
Youth in the Aiming High Summer Arts Camp meet friends, learn and improve their performance skills, improve fitness and most importantly have fun.
The Aiming High Summer Arts Camp offers youth experiences to work together as a team in a fun, positive, environment where everyone plays and performs. During a typical day youth will spend about half their time working on their skills in their performance art selection. The rest of the day is spent recreational, social, cultural and educational activities.
Registration Fee: $20 (non-refundable)
Camp Cost is $50 per week (Partial Scholarships Available, deadline for scholarship application April 15, 2014)
The camp is a CLOSED experience.

ELIGIBILITY

Youth attending the camp must be a participating member in the performance art based programming throughout the year and/or have participated in the summer arts program in years past as a performer.

Auditions for admissions to the performance arts programs are held in April and October each year for new enrollees. Acceptance to one of the arts groups provides eligibility to the summer camp experience.
